The 2021 editions of WEF Wellington and GDF Wellington are here. The Winter Equestrian Festival kicks off on January 6, 2021 and the Global Dressage Festival on January 13, 2021.

COVID-19 rules will be in place at all horse shows until further notice. Check with each venue to get specific requirements. Most venue are not allowing spectators at the present time.

Throughout the year, Equestrian Sport Productions (ESP) holds rated horse shows for all levels of riders at the Equestrian Village and PBIEC.

Wellington Classic Dressage presents dressage shows throughout the year and produces the Gold Coast Dressage Series held at the Global Dressage Stadium and the Palm Beach Equine Sports Complex.

Palm Beach Polo 2021

Wellington Horse Shows polo 2021World famous high goal polo at Wellington’s International Polo Club Palm Beach is a 3.00 pm Sunday afternoon ritual in the Palm Beaches from January through April. Drawn by the champagne brunch and prestigious polo tournaments, the Sunday polo crowd enjoys the options of grandstand viewing or field tailgating parties. Many spectators dress to the nines and help contribute to the festive atmosphere of the polo matches.

Wellington’s polo matches feature some of the best polo players from all over the world and are played at a very high level which makes for very exciting horsemanship.

Winter Season Schedule January 6, 2021 – April 4, 2021

WEF Show Season Extended

WThe 2021 WEF Show season has been extended one week to make up for some of the COVID19 cancellations during the end of the 2020 season. The new date will be January 6-10, 2021, at the beginning of the regular season.

WEF is the largest show jumping circuit in the world and attracts top level riders from many different countries to compete in the FEI 2*CSI – 5* CSI events.

Saturday Night Lights

During WEF, spectators can enjoy Saturday Night Lights at the PBIEC main stadium every Saturday evening beginning at 6 pm. Shows begin each Wednesday and finals are on Sunday of each week.

Winter Equestrian Festival

WEF January 6 – April 4, 2021

With a coronavirus shortened season, the Winter Equestrian Festival WEF still had a stellar year and everyone is looking forward to the 2021 season.

The Winter Equestrian Festival is the premier horse show series in Florida each yearthe WEF Show Jumping events feature top competitors from throug, hout the world. You will not want to miss Saturday Night Lights.

  • Adequan Global Dressage Festival (GDF)

January 13 – April 4, 2021

Featuring CDI 1*- 5* shows with three months of rated dressage shows January – March of each year, the GDF has grown to be the largest dressage show circuit in the world and boasting its own stadium with Musical Freestyle Dressage every Friday night.

Wellington Horse Show Venues

Palm Beach International Equestrian Center (PBIEC)
Featuring 12 competition rings throughout the show complex designed for show jumping, hunter, dressage, western/trail riding, driving, and polo.

The Stadium

A beautifully manicured grass derby field with natural obstacles covering 60 acres. Shaded stands and easy access to all seating make this stadium a standout for horse show spectators.

International Arena

Featuring the popular “Saturday Night Lights” show jumping finals each week during the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington each season.

Global Dressage Festival Grounds

Home to “Friday Night Stars” featuring the finest musical dressage performances. The musical freestyle, in which horse and rider dance to their own choreography, draws large crowds on Friday nights throughout the Wellington show season.

International Polo Club (IPC)

IPC is the largest and most spectator-friendly polo facility in the United States and features seven tournament polo fields. It is here that polo lovers gather every Sunday afternoon during the January-April polo season.

Palm Beach Equine Sports Complex

Located at 13070 Pierson Road in Wellington, the PBESC offers 330 stalls for horse show participants and is home to several Gold Coast Dressage Series shows throughout the year. Featuring a covered arena, two dressage rings, and two jumping arenas.

White Fences Equestrian Center

Located in nearby Loxahatchee, the White Fences Equestrian Center hosts horse shows throughout the year.

Wellington has many horse farms in all sizes and shapes. Most boast designer homes and first class barns for your horses. Bill Gates, Michael Bloomberg, Lorne Michaels, and Bruce Springsteen are among the proud owners of horses farms and show horses in Wellington. Their daughters are accomplished equestrians who enjoy all that Wellington offers in the way of facilities and world class horse shows.
